alphamelts 1.9 crashing while running Amoeba

Hi,

I successfully ran the amoeba function (17) on alphamelts 1.9 last month, but after a month away have come back and when I set up the problem the program crashes, with the following error:

segmentation fault (core dumped)
"cannot find output file "Phase_main_tbl.txt" (no such file or directory)

I am not sure what to do about this, so any advice is much appreciated! (perhaps this is an environment file problem? I'm a relatively new user so I am not sure if I need to toggle something on or off in my env file about saving).

Thanks,
Emily

Hi Emily,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Is this running the example from the workshop (Rice 2015?) or some other input? How far do you get before it crashes? What's the fO2 setting?

The "cannot find output file error" is a symptom of it crashing before it gets a chance to write anything out.

I don't remember what your operating system is but if you let me know and post or email the input files I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.

Best,
Paula
