The list of Adiabat_1ph 3 features now goes far beyond the isentropic decompression melting and pHMELTS models that it was (mostly) named for... nobody remembers where '1' came from! So we have decided that it is time for a new name i.e. alphaMELTS. The 'alpha' part is a reverse-text-speak tribute to the old name (Adiabat_1ph → A1ph → Alph → alpha) and also represents the text-based nature of the software front-end.

Over the next few days we will be changing the software, documentation, website etc. to use the new name. In future the download site link will be magmasource.caltech.edu/alphamelts/. The current download site will be used for Adiabat_1ph 2, which will keep its old name.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused while we are moving things around. If you find any errors or broken links please let us know.

Thanks!
Paula
