Missing trace elements output.

I want to get REE output for my melting calculations. I put the REE source compositions in my melts file and I set ADIABAT_TRACE_OUTPUT_FILE to 'REE.out' but after I run adiabat_1ph there is no 'REE.out' file. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Lisa,

To get trace element output you need to turn on trace element calculations.  You do this by setting ADIABAT_DO_TRACE i.e. uncomment it in your commands file (remove the '!') and give it a value (e.g. 'true', but actually anything will do).

Setting ADIABAT_TRACE_OUTPUT_FILE isn't enough.  That only changes the name of the file that is output when trace element calculations are already on.  If ADIABAT_TRACE_OUTPUT_FILE is not set then the output file will be called 'trace.out'.
