Version 1.3 was posted on August 19th, 2013.

Version 1.3 fixes a number of bugs in the alphamelts executable and in the accompanying scripts. Other changes include a new way to input assimilant composition, a simple way to evaluate latent heat of crystallization, and improvements to the metastable search (phase diagram mode).

A new version of VM (virtual machine) alphaMELTS is also available. This includes alphaMELTS 1.3 and the newest version of rhyolite-MELTS (1.0.2), which was released earlier this week. There was a problem with the zip file for VM alphamelts that was uploaded on 19th August. This has been fixed now (24th August) but I cannot verify this on Windows as I am in Florence for the MELTS workshop and Goldschmidt conference. For those of you who are coming to the MELTS workshop tomorrow: if you need VM alphaMELTS there will be a copy available on DVD, so there is no need to download the large file over wireless.

Thanks!
Paula
