Whether you are actively using MELTS, or other approaches to study magmatic processes like partial melting, reactive transport, melt migration, and crystallization... we invite you to submit an abstract to Goldschmidt 2020 session 05e: Geochemistry, Mechanics, and Thermodynamics of Magmatic Processes.

We are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Tobias Keller (University of Glasgow).

We invite contributions from all disciplines, and particularly encourage integrated studies that take constraints provided by natural systems (e.g., whole rock, mineral, and melt inclusion major and trace element and isotope data, thermobarometry, geothermal and geodetic observations) in combination with thermodynamic, thermochemical, or numerical modeling.

This session is being co-sponsored by the European Geosciences Union and IAVCEI. The abstract submission deadline is February 14th, 23:59 HST (GMT-10). More information and a link to submit an abstract is on the Goldschmidt 2020 site.

We hope to see you in Hawaii!

With the move to a Virtual Conference, the Goldschmidt 2020 abstract deadline was extended again but is fast approaching! Just two days to submit! A reminder to please consider presenting your work in our session, 05e:

Geochemistry, Mechanics, Rheology and Thermodynamics of Magmatic Processes.

Our keynote presentations will be Tobias Keller (University of Glasgow), and Edward Llewellin (Durham University). Kayla Iacovino (NASA Johnson Space Center) will give an invited presentation.

The abstract submission deadline is now May 4th, 23:59 HST (GMT-10). More information about presentation format, virtual conference format as a whole, and a link to submit an abstract is on the Goldschmidt 2020 site.

We hope to see you online!
